How many outfits does a Khmer wedding actually need?
A traditional Cambodian wedding moves through several ceremonies in a single day, and each one calls for its own look. Most couples do four changes for the bride and four matching looks for the groom. Some families do more, some keep it to two. Bring us your ceremony schedule and we will tell you honestly what you need and what you can skip.
How far ahead should we book?
Four to six months before the wedding is ideal. That gives us time to order fabric if you want something specific, and to finish alterations without rushing anybody. Peak season in Long Beach runs January through April, and Khmer New Year weekends book out early. If your date is closer than that, call anyway. We have done last minute before.
Do you rent, or do we have to buy?
Both. Most couples rent the ceremony outfits and buy one piece to keep, usually the reception look. Rentals include the outfit, the jewelry, the belt and the hair pieces, and we handle the cleaning afterwards. Buying makes sense if you want to pass it down or wear it again for Khmer New Year and temple events.
What does it cost?
It depends on how many ceremonies you are doing, how many looks you want, and how much of the wedding party you are dressing. We keep full wedding-day packages, including hair, styling and add-ons, all in one price so nothing is a surprise. Call or come in for a fitting and you get the exact number in writing before you pay anything.
Do you dress the bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents too?
Yes, and we recommend it. Coordinating the whole party from one place is the only reliable way to guarantee the colors match in photographs. We do group pricing and we keep a record of your fabric family, so late additions still line up with everyone else.
Can you help us dress on the wedding day?
Khmer outfits are not easy to put on, particularly with a crown and full jewelry, and you have to change several times in one morning. Our day-of dressing service sends our team to you to handle every change on schedule. Ask about it when you book.
Do you carry outfits for children?
Yes. Traditional Khmer clothing for children from toddler through teen, for weddings, flower-carrying roles, Khmer New Year and temple ceremonies.
Do you speak Khmer?
Yes. យើងនិយាយភាសាខ្មែរ។ We serve families in both Khmer and English, and we are well used to explaining the ceremony to partners and in-laws who are new to all of it.
Where are you, and how far do people travel?
We are on Pacific Coast Highway in Cambodia Town, Long Beach, open seven days a week. Families drive to us from Lakewood, Signal Hill, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Riverside and San Diego, and some fly in from out of state.
